A weird theme has been showing up lately.
First, my power cord had a short and it wasn’t charging my computer. It’s been that way for several months and I just wiggle and bend the wire until the beep sounds and I know it’s charging.
I finally agreed to let my husband order a new one from Amazon. It arrived, I plugged it in and instantly my computer was back to normal with full power.
Then my husband’s power cord for his computer wasn’t working. The battery on his computer wasn’t charging and so he ordered a new cord also. It didn’t solve the problem because it was actually the input thingy on his computer that the power cord goes into that wasn’t passing the charge to the battery. When the new part arrived, he carefully dismantled his computer piece by piece, replaced the part and then put it all back together again.
I’m happy to say that both computers are fully restored. Except for one small glitch with my touch pad mouse; the left clicker doesn’t work. Michel has been planning to take it apart and check it out and so I have been using an adapter mouse in the meantime.
The other quirk is that the heated seat button on the driver’s side of our car hasn’t worked since we bought it last year. When you push it on, the light shows but the charge drops right away and it doesn’t stay on. It’s a 1998 BMW and we haven’t yet taken it in for repairs. Lucky for me, my heated seat has always worked perfectly and it’s such a nice feature. I felt a little bad for Michel not getting to feel the warmth climb up his body on cool winter days.
A few days ago our neighbor knocked on our front door at 8:30 a.m. to tell us that our sunroof was open … in the fresh morning rain that was well underway. Michel went out and closed the window and mopped up the pooled water. When he went to the market the next day, he pushed the seat heating button out of habit (because you just never know) and it stayed on!

It stayed on all the way to the market and all the way back home. The next day he went out and again it worked; the seat began to warm instantly.
He was so excited to share the news.
I opened my computer and guess what? The mouse works now too.
It seems that things are getting connected….
